About Employers Needs

Many organizations now recognize the importance of stress and other mental health issues in the workplace. Indeed, employers have a legal duty to ensure that their employees are not made ill by their work. Stress due to problems outside work, e.g. financial and domestic concerns, can also affect a person’s ability to cope with the pressures at work. The cost of not tackling these issues may show up as increased absenteeism in the form of both repeated short/long-term sickness, low performance and productivity, low morale, high staff turn over, poor time keeping, somatic ailments (back pain, etc), poor relationships with colleagues...etc

My strengths are Insight, Sensitivity and Understanding of the needs, operational requirements and policy framework of organizations, Human Resource Departments and Occupational Health Services. I am able to liaise and communicate in order to achieve the most effective outcome for all parties concerned.

Therefore my work is more than just helping the individual employee in isolation. (See Staff Counselling and Stress Management)

This service offers three important levels of intervention to maintain the well being of the staff.

  • The primary level that aims at eliminating possible stress factors (i.e. clarification of blurred role)
  • The secondary level that aims at helping the staff to tackle stress and manage stress through training
  • The third level offers direct help to the staff to come to terms with the issues of stress through counselling and strategies to tackle and manage stress better.
